This weekend, we are visiting Grandma Julie, Great Grandma Neva, & Aunt Megan in The Valley. They are all very excited to see a growing baby bump! We decided, since I am not able to travel after mid-November due to being in the 3rd trimester, we would celebrate Thanksgiving together this weekend. Neva cooked the turkey & dressing, and Julie made mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls, homemade cranberry sauce, ambrosia salad, & candied yams. Mmmmm! Mommy & Blake thoroughly enjoyed every bite! And I think Blake was having her own Thanksgiving party today because she was moving around constantly. Daddy Shawn even got to feel her kick several more times!

Baby Kirby Week 24 Update:
your baby's the size of a cantaloupe! Your 10.5-to-11.8-inch fetus weighs about 12.7 to 20.8 ounces and every week she gets closer and closer to being ready to survive (and thrive!) in the outside world. Her see-through skin is gradually becoming more opaque. And it's got a new pink glow, thanks to the small capillaries that have recently formed.
The picture below shows how big Blake would be if she was born this week:

Happy viability!! (But, Blake please stay in a lot longer!!!) You look great, Jen! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jess!
